Clean Comedy Guide 2016!

About the show

Candlelight has provided clean comedy alternatives to Melbourne for half a decade. We’re having a Year of Rest in 2016, and have chosen not to produce any major shows, including Clean Comedy Hub and the Squeaky Clean Comedy gala.

But we care about Clean Comedy, and we care about you!

We are proud to support artists who continue to see Clean Comedy grow in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. So if you want to get your comedy fix in this festival season, scroll down to see your one-stop shop for all things Clean Comedy!

HANNAH BOLAND: The Best Medicine

Australia’s freshest face of clean comedy is here! After a hugely successful tour in 2014 with her debut show Gift of the Gab, Hannah is back entertaining audiences with her wonderfully crafted storytelling, hysterical poetry, scintillating skits and hilarious songs in her new show The Best Medicine.

You will not find a more diverse show from a single performer! As a former professional musician, Hannah plays more than five musical instruments to performance standard, and combines her love of music, poetry and storytelling to create a miniature masterpiece of comicality. From her experiences of major loss, chronic pain, anxiety, motherhood and caring for her ageing parents, Hannah draws upon life’s rich tapestry to ponder the deep (and not so deep) matters with humour and grace, connecting with audiences from all walks of life and bringing laughter to those who need it. After all, it is The Best Medicine!
